An Australian tv star is fundraising for the household residing in her childhood residence, which burnt down after lightning struck it earlier this week.

On Thursday, MasterChef 2019 winner Larissa Dominello launched a crowd-funding marketing campaign for the household of seven residing in her suburban Sydney residence.

“Last night, I watched my childhood home burn down, the home of my grandmother and the home of my cousins,” she mentioned on social media.

“The absolute devastation and loss I witnessed is something I’ll never be able to forget. We are so lucky that no one was injured or worse.”

Dominello mentioned the tragedy rocked her.

“While during these times you’re reminded that material things don’t matter, losing absolutely everything you own is a unique kind of tragedy,” she mentioned.

“Shout out to the amazing neighbours, volunteers, NSW RFS and NSW police who did everything they could to save this home.

“It’s pretty surreal knowing that all this devastation was caused by a strike of lightning and gone within hours.”

The ten-bedroom home in northwest Sydney was gutted by a hearth on Wednesday night time, believed to have been began by a lightning strike.

Eleven fireplace vans and over 70 firefighters battled the blaze on Cattai Ridge Street in Glenorie, in Sydney’s Hills District.
