Stars reveal why they don’t have youngsters

Actress Patricia Clarkson has opened up about her resolution by no means to marry or have youngsters in a brand new interview, proclaiming that she’s had a “great sexy-ass life.”

“I love being an aunt, I love it more than — probably more than acting, which is odd. They’re on par. But I’m telling you, these are gorgeous children, but that doesn’t have to define every woman,” she stated.

Clarkson defined that she had toyed with the concept of getting youngsters and getting married with one ex-partner, an artist she dated in her late 30s.

“I had a window to have a child, but [at] the end of the day I loved working, and I grew up with great parents who sacrificed everything for me,” she stated.

“And you have to really be committed to having children. You have to be a great parent, and I was afraid I couldn’t be.”

Clarkson stated she didn’t “want to fail at being a parent … I’m fine failing as an actor. I didn’t want to fail at being a parent.”

And he or she revealed that she’s had no regrets about her life path – regardless of her dad and mom’ preliminary worries.

“My mother said, ‘Patty, I just don’t want you to wake up at 50 and be unhappy.’ I woke up at 50 in stilettos and a thong! I’ve had a great sexy-ass life.”

“And it’s not that my whole life is that,” she continued. “I love being an aunt, I love being a sister, I love being a daughter, I love being a great best friend. I’m a very good friend, I think. It’s not what I wanted to define me because I didn’t want to fail.”

Clarkson is the most recent in a string of celebs who’ve spoken publicly in current occasions about by no means having youngsters.

Again in June, American Pie actress Tara Reid, 47, stated she thought her performing profession would have been “bigger” had she settled down and had a child.

“I think, in Hollywood, if you don’t have kids or you’re not married, you’re judged,” she stated. “So they still think you’re that party girl from 40 years ago.”

Graham, stated she believed that “if you’re meant to have kids, you have kids.” If not, she notes, “the universe gives you someone or something to nurture.”

And again in March, 41-year-old actor Seth Rogen, who has been married to his spouse since 2011, stated their resolution to not have youngsters had “definitely” helped him achieve different areas of his life.

“There’s a whole huge thing I’m not doing, which is raising children,” he advised the Diary of a CEO podcast.

“Some people want kids, some people don’t want kids. Honestly, you just are told, ‘You go through life, you get married, you have kids.’ That’s what happens … me and my wife, neither of us were like that,” he stated.

“Honestly, thank God we don’t have children, we get to do whatever we want.”
